Agenda 2030 is unprecedented in scope and significance; it is not legally binding, yet it is accepted by all countries. It applies to all, taking into account the different realities, capacities, and levels of development of individual countries, while respecting national policies and priorities. The goal is to end all forms of poverty, combat inequality, address climate change, and ensure that no one is left behind. Seventeen sustainable development goals have been set to monitor these tasks. These universal goals and targets apply to the whole world, both developed and developing countries.
