Global level

Reports and publications on progress made towards the fulfilment of sustainable development goals which have been being worked out by the UN since 2016 are released on the UN’s official website.

European level

By the publication Sustainable Development in the European Union — Monitoring report on progress towards the SDGs in an EU context Eurostat has launched regular monitoring of progress towards sustainable development goals in the EU context.

National level

In June 2025, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic issued the publication Sustainable Development Indicators of the 2030 Agenda in the Slovak Republic (Current Status in 2025) (PDF 2,5 MB).
The aim of the publication is to provide a comprehensive informative overview of the implementation of indicators from the 16 goals of the 2030 Agenda for the Slovak Republic in the UN database. The availability of data is presented through graphical and tabular parts, the methodological part provides a brief description of each indicator. The publication also includes a comparison of V4 countries in selected indicators.

In  March 2023, a publication was released The Slovak Republic and the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda (PDF, 1 MB) was published, which provides a comprehensive quantitative evaluation of the Slovak Republic´s progress in achieving 17 Sustainable Developments Goals of the 2030 Agenda. The evaluation progress of these goals was approved by the Government of the Slovak Republic in June 2022 in the monitoring report The second report on the achievements of the national priorities for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
The publication presents a selection of indicators evaluation to raise interest in the implementation of the Agenda’s goals and to inspire citizens to take actions that will promote sustainable development.

The publication of the Visegrád Group Countries: Selected Indicators of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was prepared by the Statistical Office of the SR in cooperation with the national statistical offices of the V4 countries on the occasion of the Slovak Presidency in Visegrad Four.

In 2016, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic worked out the publication The Slovak Republic and the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, which provides a comprehensive statistical view on the fulfilment of the sustainable development goals of the 2030 Agenda in the Slovak Republic and describes the position of Slovakia within the European Union, following the 17 goals of the 2030 Agenda.
